Finalization of the manuala At what point you are legally an employee of a companya A company called me in an interview after seeing my resume online. I signed a paper agreeing to a background check, but that's all. The interviewer (after a very short interview) assigns me a moment for one of the very short training session.
After thinking things over carefully, I began to suspect that the company is a scam. At what point am I legally "their"a I ask because I lost my old job last week and plan to file for unemployment. But if that company hired me and I left after a few days, I'd quit and therefore lose unemploymenta
I think I'm fine because I just signed to accept a background check, but I was a little worried that I was already signed for the job because of the training session. I guess I have to sign a contract and fill out a W2 and all this to make it official, righta Part of my brain tells me I throw myself into the shade, and the other half is thinking that I just signed my unemployment benefits immediately. I hope it all made sense.
You should request a letter confirming your employment and salary. What is the name of the companya You could investigate the company to determine their legitimacy.
when they start paying you. Never pay for a background check. EVER.
This cost is not your responsibility.
