What is your favorite and the favorite book of the Old Testament (Bible)a So far, my favorite is Ecclesiastes and the Song of Songs, and my favorite is at least Numbers. What do you thinka And why.
My favorite book of the Old Testament Daniel. Daniel gave the timeline for the appearance of Jesus, and even though Daniel was a young man, he rose to his God, Jehovah. When the Medes and Persians threw over the Babylonians, Daniel was told not to pray to Jehovah for three days (one was to pray, pay tribute to anyone except the king. If a person has to pay tribute or pray for someone, but the King was death) But Daniel prayed three times a day to the Lord God, Daniel was thrown into the lions' den for him. Yet God has spared the life of Daniel.
My favorite is at least the judges. The ancient Israelites continued after the Baal (Baal who had human sacrifices associated with them) and maintained Jehovah God to save his own people again and again. It was not a good time in the history of God's people.
As fairy tales go, I consider the whole OT than anything the Brothers Grimm and Aesop never put on paper. I especially love the top stories in Genesis and Exodus. They reflect the unique ability of man to use his brain to think, something that separates us from all other creatures on this planet.
