How can I cut my addiction wow in 2 yearsa ok i have been playing WoW for almost 2 years I want to succeed when i grow up if I want to leave WoW in high school so I can get good grades and get into a good collage. atm I neglect school work I am a smart kid i just do not put my full effort into his homework and junk, my grades have been NUKED since the 5th grade when I first discovered World of Warcraft. I really, really need to leave I know anotehr thing that usually helps me do homework is to have no wifi, Comcast being down = no xbox no computer so I'm used to study or do homework and I think I could make my mother hide the modem when I need to study. I do not want to completely quit wow i just dont want to take over my life, I really need to get good grades in high school. Thank you
Realize there are better things in the world than watching a character with the proportions of the body against nature flying around the screen to kill imaginary things
Try using drugs instead.
Talk to your mom about it and let him know your concerns. Between the two of you, develop a study plan that will leave you a reasonable time for study and recreational non-Internet gambling and a period where you will be able to play online. According to what year you are and what your workload is like, maybe 2 hours per weekday and six hours on weekends, but please. Then ask him that outside those hours, she removes the modem so that you get in the study.
Good luck - you are mature in realizing you need to do that and I am sure you will be very useful when it comes time for review.
It's great that you are so mature about it. My husband was struggling with putting too much time on WoW when he was in college, but now it's much more reasonable.
You can have your mom put controls that limit your game time just how long you need to study during the week and on weekends and leave time to go out with friends outside of WoW. Also, remember that it's just a game, and if you miss a raid guild or a newspaper, do not worry!
