Interspousal Grant Deed

Posted on October 13, 2010.
Interspousal Grant DeedWhat is a transfer between spouses grant deeda

Does a grant deed transfers between spouses withdraw his right to future community propertya (California) The grant spousal act specifically states:

It is the express intention of the grantor, it is the beneficiary's spouse, convey all right, title and interest of the grantor, community or not, in and on property described as beneficial to its unique and distinctive property.

This looks pretty clear that a party waives any right of ownership to another community, regarding the subject property, now and in the future. (Assuming this is a non-divorce). Is this any way to make a mid-marriagea

Such an act could take a number of forms, including the total alienation in your language. But you can also transfer a partial interest (such as a right-half) to a spouse to establish the property as a community asset if it has not already been. (I did it myself.) The trick is to decide what you want to accomplish, and then work on the documents necessary to do so.
