Nc Power Of Attorney

Nc Power Of AttorneyHow do I make a proxy for Greece and na

I have a piece of property that I want to sell in Greece but I am unable to go right now. I live in North Carolina. I am ready to give a proxy to my cousin.

You should contact the Greek Consulate in North Carolina to issue a proxy to your cousin. You would need all the details of your cousin, as his identity card number or passport number (a number of driver's license is not valid in this case) and make sure that all documents are issued English and Greek, to ensure you encounter no problems with the different spelling of names in both languages!

Try the following link for more information: http://www.greekembassy.org/Embassy/cont ... but I think what you need is:
Consulate - Atlanta
Place Tower, Suite 1670 3340 Peachtree Road., NE
Atlanta, GA 30326
Phone: 404.261.3313
Fax: 404.262.2798
Web address: http://www.greekembassy.org/atlanta/
E-mail: atlanta@greekembassy.org
States of jurisdiction: Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee St. Carolina,
Opening hours: Mo - Fr 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Good luck!

The other poster gave a good answer, but, with Greece being an EU member - the process is much easier.

A Greek lawyer, registered in Greece, is to draft the proxy (or PDA). The action plan must be notarized and the notary must be certified by the Secretary of State for NC (or the person who oversees notaries).

Once the NC Secretary of State certifies the notary's signature, the document is sent to your cousin in Greece - save yourself a trip to the consulate in Atlanta.

You can not do this with an attorney licensed in the U.S. - you need one that is distributed either in Greece or both.
