Signs do work to generate new businessa This usually depends on the company being advertised and the target consumer. Sometimes called "bandit" signs because they are illegal in some municipalities, these signs can raise awareness of a business or service, but as all advertising materials must reach the right consumer at the right time. Chances are if you're marketing high-value or personal (retirement planning, mortgage refinancing, home improvement) there is a gap between lawn signs as a tactic and what consumers expect from reputable companies qualified in these areas. lower value services (lawn care, window washing, cleaning the pool) have less risk to consumers if they go wrong, so a well placed and professionally produced sign in these cases may benefit companies that they promote . Remember, everyone is exposed to the message conversion to real customers.
They are good for real estate agents! Also, if you get repairs or build something on your property, the company likes to do the work to put a sign that people will always want to know what's going on there!
oh, they get a new fence put in by AAFence society. There is good free advertising.
Not very well. Instead, put leaflets. You can place them in the area you want to work. It's risky as you do. I do not know what kind of work you want done. Word of mouth is best. When you get some work, do the best you can. People sometimes refer to others who want the same kind of work they were satisfied with the work you've done.
