About purchasing power with a motorcyclea I just bought a new bike and paid cash for it. When it came to finalizing the sale, they me sign a proxy form indicating that it was a power "limited power of attorney that allowed them to make corrections if something was not my tag info, info, or registering. My question is, Is this common when buying a bikea "I asked if I would receive the title of the e-mail, and they said yes so .... should I worrya I have not read the paper, and do not remember anything out of the ordinary. .. but it's on my mind and im wondering if anyone one else has used this practicea
Have you bought from a dealera
Went, I bought mine last year, I signed a similar document, they explained it was for things related to obtaining title and registration. What if something was wrong they do it for me.
I do not think you have much to worry about
this may be the norm where you live, but not where I am. The dealer must have all documents ready to go and it's just a question of transferring title to you and put on plates (if necessary)
You should request a copy of the limited power of attorney and review it to ensure that their only limit to these things.
