My eldest son is a monohull sailor die hard, and I am a lover of catamarans, yes, you can see
and read about the differences (advantages vs. disadvantages) of both.
Thoughts, photos, and more are on the link below.

Hello cats are much faster downwind and the wind on the beam, as they navigate
more right than mono hulls, in 1999 I took a cat 15m UK on Island
Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands about 1,700 miles its there non-stop it took 8 days
9kns more speed AVE. There are some drawbacks is haveing two shells to cross
from one to another and the shells are not as wide as a single, and they do not
almost posed. Saying all that, I would never clean I am a man of the mono-hull
have a 14m ketch. Now the veil in the best place to navigate the world in Scotland.
In my opinion: --- A cat is perfect for exploring the islands with teenagers (you can not hear the noise on the soundtrack) and can be fast enough to sail.
They are great fun.
They are fast wind, (but then a shoebox is fast downwind)
Do you really used to go to sea in a boat with an escape hatch in the bottom for when it capsized
They are very different animals everywhere BEST TOM
